Have you ever been at the crossroads of enough is enough? Enough of being the bigger person, enough of going high when others seemingly live in a constant state of low, enough of hate-filled, angry, bitter, and hostile behaviors, mindsets, and narratives. At times, this crossroad feels like a hostile war between ourselves and our adversaries. Leaving one challenged on how to engage and demonstrate love versus squaring up for a full-on war because enough is just enough. Lord help!

Thankfully, Jesus offers a new command on how to win this common war – L.O.V.E. In John 13:34, Jesus declares a call of duty to the disciples that current-day followers should take note of. This duty calls us to listen to the Savior and look at ourselves to do away with myopic and transactional perspectives of love. This call requires accepting His new command as the alternative to our negative automatic thoughts and attempts to war against what we cannot change in others. It is the anecdote that transforms our view of war altogether and enables us to offer what we have personally received instead of what we deserve. We received the relentless, always engaging, warring love of God- because when it comes to love, enough is never enough.
